Warranty Information

"Obviously we prefer our customers to deal direct with our vendors on return issues where possible. This is purely to reduce the turnaround time of the replacement back to you. Terminology used below

RTB:-   return to base (GSS-direct)  RMA:-  return Merchandise Authorization     DOA:-  dead on arrival

AMD:
Standard warranty is 1 year RTB. All CPU's that GSS-direct supply come with a tracking label to validate the warranty. If no label is present the CPU will be returned. Click here to inform us about a return.

AMW:
Warranty period – all 3 years on site (collection from you) for all monitors
Customer must contact AMW by phone – 0871 231 3043
UK on site swop – 30 day DOA period (swop for new) and thereafter up to three years swop for same age or newer (for off shore (Ireland/Isle of Man etc.) it is RTB)

AMW will not give cash refund under any circumstance.

ABIT

2 Years warranty on all motherboards,  one year is held with GSS-direct and the second year is held with Universal ABIT DIRECT. Please contact Universal ABIT on the below details.

Belkin:

BT:
Warranty is 1 year RTB with us for replacements. Please click here to inform us about a return.

Bullguard:
Bullguard Software is sold on a non returnable basis. Any problems will be dealt with by Bullguard directly. Please contact them on support@bullguard.com. You will be contacted within 1 hour after submitting your email.

CISCO:
Standard warranty is 90 days.  Different products may have longer but this will be stated on our sales order. Phone numbers for support can be found on support literature supplied with product or at www.cisco.com.  Click here to inform us about a return.

Warranty Repairs: Faulty products will be repaired or replaced in line with the manufacturer’s valid warranty. RMA  number is only valid for 10 days from date of issue.

Non-warranty repairs: The customer must initially apply for a repair price quotation from our workshop. A Purchase Order must then be raised and returned along with a completed copy of the form for the repair to commence. Time scales quoted will be met wherever possible, but cannot be guaranteed.

Carriage costs and liability
The customer will be responsible for any carriage cost incurred in returning the faulty goods. The customer will also be responsible for any shortages or damages to the goods when in transit.

Extra charges
Cisco reserves the right to raise a "no fault found charge" of up to £100 + VAT where applicable, to cover time and carriage costs incurred.
Cisco reserves the right to charge a "restocking fee" of up to 25% of the invoice value for goods returned for credit which are not faulty.

DFI:
DFI offers a 2 year warranty.
The first year is held directly with GSS-direct, the second year with DFI.  –

Edge 10:
3 year warranty on all units.
If there is a problem within 30 days Edge 10 will issue a new unit, after 30 days a replacement unit of the same age or newer will be issued.

Foxconn:
Warranty for motherboards is 1 year RTB followed by a further 2 years direct with manufacturer.

Gainward VGA Products:
GSS-direct offers a 3 year RTB warranty on both GAINWARD ATI and NVIDIA products.  If a replacement is no longer available then a credit will be offered at current market pricing. Please return all faulty cards back to GSS-direct.   


Gigabyte:
Gigabyte warranty is 3 years ,1 year RTB followed by 2 year return to Gigabyte. Please note Gigabyte have a UK RMA department and now offer a speed service, enabling the customers to return directly for up to 3 years from purchasing. Being by far the largest UK distributor for Gigabyte products, we demand the best possible service from Gigabyte to our customers. If you would like to use the direct RMA service please email

Hannsg:
Warranty is held direct with Hannsg. Please call Repair Tech on 0871 855 2425 / 0871 855 2424 or email www.hannsg@repairtech.co.uk.
HannsG monitor – 3 year onsite swap in 24/48 hours.
Hannspree TV – 2 year warranty (pick up, repair and return in 1 to 2 weeks).

HP:
Warranty is held direct with HP. Warranty term varies with product. please contact them on 0870 842 2339.

Intel:
Warranty for Retail CPU's is 3 year RTB for replacements. Warranty for OEM products is 1 year RTB for replacements. We must validate that it is a retail CPU before accepting the return. Go to http://processorfinder.intel.com/scripts/default.asp and type in the 5 digit number that can either be found on the CPU or it will be the last 5 digits of the Intel product code.  Click here to inform us about a return.

Kaspersky:

Kingston:
